.... just wanted to share my experimenting with my GoPro camera and vibes recordings - hope you'll enjoy - eventually I'll post more - also of my midified Deagan Commander II.
This is not revolutionary impro. It's an exercise.
The deal here is to record first the vibes with no click, just inside time feel. In a second time I record the piano to check if it's match all together. This is a very good exercise inspired by Tony Miceli and Dave Friedman. ;-)
A student of mine needs a vibraphone in Argentina for future gigs. Does anybody know any vibes players there?

It airs on Feb 7, what would have been Ray Alexander's birthday. I play his "Georgia On My Mind." Behn's birthday follows shortly after and I give him a birthday shout-out, playing "Tristeza" from Ensemble Novo. Bill Ware plays a tune from the Rez Abbasi Acoustic Quartet CD, Intents and Purposes. Mark Sherman shares the stage with Kenny Barron on "Darn That Dream" from Interplay. "Emily" by Tony and David, an oldie from Stefon Harris, "Portrait of Wellman Braud," and Warren on "My Blue Heaven." Lots more too.

Our buddy Bruce Wells died yesterday. Just passing the news on. Bruce was a great guy who played vibes for many many years.
He was a great friend of the site and will be missed!

It's been a while since I posted anything here and I hate to ask something after a long time but I need a vibraphone in London 7 and 8 April. Anyone could help me out?
