New clip from a video shoot taped by the Vic Firth production team which took place at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Other songs recorded at the session were (on vibes) Alone Together, Wave, Green Dolphin Street, (on marimba) Topsy and (vibes/marimba) Take the A Train. I'll post more as they are released by Vic Firth. Take the A Train was recorded as a Music Minus One project which will involve other mallet players recording their part and syncing it with my track. I am selling 2 sets (8 mallets) of the gary burton signature mallets by vic firth. They are lightly used. I purchased them a few years ago but I've since switched to the Balter Micelli mallet.

Here's a new video from a recent CD release gig in NYC. This piece started as a bit of a vibes etude that I expanded for a trio. This track is entitled "Never Sleeps" from my last album "Gotham."

The song is dedicated to my mentor David Friedman. Once we were hanging out in my house in Italy and I showed him the harmonic and rhythmic Idea that opens the song. Then we decide to play a "kind of blues" on top of this strange chords progression... after a couple of week I composed this tune!!
