hey,
i borrowed a neumann tlm 49 mic by a friend and checked it out in my new studio yesterday.
what you hear is 75% of the neumann in the middle + my akg2000b as side mics. in the mix i used some reverb, a little bit compression but almost no eq.
This is a short excerpt from a concert with guitarist Dan Faehnle. Also Bobby Floyd on organ, Tony Franklin on drums and myself on vibes. This was a fun night!
Hope everyone is well in vibe land.
Best,
Rusty
Practicing Smog Eyes (Lennie Tristano) - There will never be another you (Harry Warren) trying to expand harmony with different extensions, triads and creating new cycles between the chords.
hi,
every friday i rehearse for fun with my best friend from school days. since short time we got a new location in the house of my mother where i put my 2nd vibes (studio 49). the location is great (i can use 4 rooms) and i plan slowly to built some sort of studio there and moved some of my recording stuff there. however in this video it´s still the sound of the camera. his name is christof and he´s a great guitar player.i learn a lot from just playing with him every friday.

Hauke is among our youngest (and newest) members. We met him in Wuppertal last February. Here is a beautiful piece he wrote for vibes and marimba (wow)... Enjoy...
Hi Marie,
was browsing the internet and came across this piece of music which I think you really love. Hope you enjoy it.
BruceW
p.s. actually anyone can love this piece and by all means, do so and enjoy.
p.s.s Note the bass players is Paul Chambers, who was two years ahead of me in high school. No, I was not studying music at the time, I was studying printing press and typesetting.
Hi,
this is a video of a piece i wrote for the emil richards rattle mallet. I needed some repertoire for the duo work with my sister Greta. Its a lot of fun when she starts to comp me on the vibes. Greta is always very nervous, when we play this tune, but i think she did and does it great! (its always a lot of fun for the audience, too) ;)
Let me know what you think about this tune.
greetings, Hauke
Hi,
this are 3 links to the 3 movements of my CONCERTO No.3 for VIBRAPHONE & ORCHESTRA:
• 1st movement: Allegro vivace
• 2nd movement: Tango habanera
Don't be surprised if the written vibraphone part is in some places different from what you hear! As indicated it is improvised here and there.
