Another cut from my gig. It's pretty funny because we were subbing for a 13 piece latin band, which explains my little latin stint at the end of the tune. I did tell the audience that they should expect us to try and cover the latin bands music! No way!!! They were a cool audience.
Behn is coming down to shoot some video and do some lessons! I know some of you (me too) really dig Behn's playing. So this is good news! He'll be coming down this week, and hopefull I'll have stuff up next weekend.
I have a hard time when I'm playing trio. That is when I'm playing a concert and playing trio (vibes, bass and drums). It's easy if you're wallpaper music, or if it's a short set but two one hour sets can be intimidating for me.
I played tonight in front of about 500 people and played trio. Most of the time when I'm in these situations I add a horn or guitar. I feel as though a vibes trio can get boring, like it needs something else. Maybe it's just my stuff (well it is actually) but a vibes trio concert is a big deal to me and can be difficult.

So it looks like the spammers have arrived. A couple things:
I've deleted 2 accounts in the last week.
If you see a funny post, put it in the shout box for us to see.
I might ask a few of you guys to take down any comments that looks funny and email me the user name.
If worse comes to worse, we'll have to review comments each night and release them.
Meanwhile I'll talk to my partner. We're using captcha, but I guess that's not enough. Just keep an eye out if you can.
People have been posting what they're working on. They're also posting original compositions and rehearsals and tunes from gigs. This is COOL! I always get inspired listening to others play. And I get ideas also. So I'm glad to see people posting what they're up to! I bet everybody feels the same way.
