Think Energy for the New Year

Man I do a lot of vibe talking because of this site. It's pretty incredible and sort of a dream come true. We live pretty isolated lives don't we?

One topic that has come up recently is acheiving your goals. I go straight to the word energy when I hear the word goals.

To achieve a goal is going to take energy and for most of us a LOT of energy (I've said it before, haven't I?). But if you put the right energy in I think most of our goals are achievable. Now that being said we all have to be reasonable.

Joe Locke - 'Millesime 2010'

We’ve had news from Tom Marcello of the upcoming CD Joe Locke will release on Jan. 26th. But I don’t think any info was posted here about his brand new website, of course designed by the talented Nadja Von Massow: http://www.joelocke.com/

New fine outlook, updated info on tour, discography, a special page for all the videos now available, new pictures and many audio samples.

Good news from thevibe.net!

Hi all,

This morning I got an unexpected and great message in my mailbox: Gerry Grosz from our sister site thevibe.net:

"Hi, Marie-Noëlle!

It's fixed! Both Bruce and John are now unblocked and have been notified. I can't believe it took me this long to figure out the problem, but I did get it.

Thank you for your keeping me notified and on my toes. :)

In other news, I broke my arm & had surgery just last week, so I'm a little out of the game right now, but feeling so good that I was finally able to fix this longstanding problem.

The Collective Unconcious and the Un-structured Improv

When I saw Dana's post of his 'Un-structured improv I thought that's cool. We have a little wave of free improv going.

I posted that electronic stuff and now Dana posted this. Then I thought that would be cool if others just played whatever on their instrument and posted the outcome.

Playing free and using your ears to move the harmony is a great way to grow musically!

So the challenge is to post your own 'Un-structured improv'.

One For the Guys

Ok, so trying to run a site and practice can cause marital problems.

My wife was on my case big time about not doing enough around the house. I don't have time, I said. But she kept the verbal abuse coming. So I bought a Roomba.

As I write this I'm actually cleaning my upstairs. You see I told her I'd take over the vacuuming and she agreed. So I went out and bought a Roomba which is a robot vacuum cleaner. So now I can practice and clean at the same time.

Now she's saying that that doesn't count, but she's not going to win that one!
