"In The Moment"
“In The Moment” - I composed this song yesterday on the piano. It sort of wrote itself in about a half hour. Sometimes for me they come quickly and others not so much. Besides the great composers of the American Songbook, a few of my favorite composers are Ennio Morricone, Astor Piazzolla, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Pat Metheny. While sometimes it can be a very laborious process, it also can be quite enjoyable. A composer like an improviser can lose themselves “in the moment” while involved in the process.

A shortcut for voicing altered 2-5-1's
Hi All,
Boy, I was really in a hurry when I made this video. Please excuse all the times I mis-speak. I say 2-5 when I mean 2-5-1, I say scale when I mean chord, and I even named the video wrong. Oh well! I'm still really busy, so I'm not gonna sweat it. You get the idea anyway.

"Farmer's Trust" by Pat Metheny
"Farmer's Trust" - a beautiful song from guitarist Pat Metheny. I'm a huge fan of Pat's compositions. A tricky one to do solo.

Practicing Time - Vibes/Guitar Duet - Indiana
This is an attempt at the time exercise that David Friedman has been demonstrating on the site. After the head, the vibes solos for two choruses, then guitar for two, and out.
Practicing blues
Hi I'm new to this wonderful community. I've been playing vibes for about one year. I recorded practicing blues, Billie's Bounce with my good friend bass player. I know there is so much to work on, outlining chord changes, language... and way more... but I'd like to hear from all of you way more experienced players than me on what I should focus more. There is so much material out there on the recordings that I'm listening to, should I transcribe first?
