I don't post much but now that I'm studying with Tony, he said that I have to share this on the site. I sent a dvd of me playing to PAS last year to apply for the Terry Gibbs scholarship and I got an email yesterday saying that they have selected me as the winner. I'm pretty excited about it and thought I should share this on vibes workshop. They also said that they're going to put me on the site which would be pretty cool.

The vibes workshop will feature master classes by Joe Locke, Tony Miceli, Mike Pinto and Dana Sudborough.
When: August 15th and 16th
(Online Vibe Hang On August 16th at the end of the workshop)
August 14th I'll make a few slots available for private lessons. First Come First Serve Basis. Lessons are free for subscribers of 3 months or more. (Order determined by when fee is paid)
Where: University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA
Time: Roughly 10am to 5 or 6pm
Teacher: Tony Miceli
Price: $125 a day for members Members will receive 2 months free subscription
$75 a day for subscribers (paid in advance)
$50 a day for college and high school students who are subscribers (paid in advance)
There will be bass and drums for all or part of the day and we'll probably wind up the second day with a vibe hang online performance.

I'll check some hotel prices out over the next couple days. Everyone says to use priceline.com, that because of the recession you can get hotels very cheap.

I had this idea today. Just trying to figure out how to implement it as well see if there's interest.
I want to start a tune club for the summer. I would like it to be very disciplined. The idea is we learn 2-3 tunes a week.
I got it... we could do it like this. Week Challenges. I'll post the tunes say on a Wednesday. We all study the tunes all week and then post by the the following 7th day your version. I (or maybe Phillipe!) will make play along tracks. Just rough for you guys to learn the tunes. Everyone has to submit the tune by the 7th day.
