I'm In the Cloud Now

So it's official with my new phone. I wussed out and got a Palm Pre instead of cancelling Sprint and getting the Iphone. The Pre however so far is really cool. It might not quite hang with the Iphone but it's up there.

It took me a week, but I moved all my data to Google. That means my life lives in the cloud now. The cloud is what geeks call that area where we have all our data and we don't quite know where it is, but it's there. If you use flikr for your photos then your photos are in the cloud.

philadelphia vibraphone workshop 2009

I had a great time on Saturday at the 09 vibesworkshop held this past weekend. The instructors were top pros and educators all dedicated to the cause and that came through without a doubt. The technical display and theory information I took in as much as I could; it let me know right were I stand. The hi-lite for me was when Joe Locke critiqed my solo over blues changes. I was quite nervous and felt that emotion was coming through in my playing. However, Joe heard something different and I felt reassured by his comments.

The Depth of Info here!

I'm looking through some of these posts, looking at the replies, seeing the depth of some of these discussions and just flipping out.

Here we're talking about Musser models and there's all this feedback and then Gary chimes in with an in depth reply about the M-55 and the M-48. This is incredible!

I was just excited about all that and thought I would post my excitement.

End of the Month

Hey guys,

I'm a real believer of setting goals. They at least tell you if you're on track or off track. I think it's ok to be either of them, but the thing that's important is that you know whether you're on track or off track.

Unofficial Notice - Philly Workshop

I decided to try and set up a workshop in August here in Philly.

We'll have a bass player and drummer (at least 1 set, more depending on how many people sign up).

This is the unofficial notice! The dates will be August 15th and 16th. The workshop will be at the University of the Arts.

On the 14th I'm also playing at Chris' at night. So if anyone comes in early, come hang out.

More Details will be coming. Just wanted to put the unofficial word out. This will be an annual event, so as they grow we can get more pros in to hang with us.

The plan is.
