Anyone playing the 2nd weekend of November? I think I'll be in NYC then!
Not strictly a gig but...
If you in the UK and within reach of Manchester, you may want to look at this taking place on 12th February (£9.00 entry on the day) at the Royal Norther College of Music in Manchester and the summary is...
my wife and i are going to be in manhattan this weekend - anybody got anything cooking? it would be cool to hear and meet a vibesworkshop player.

Hope this is the appropriate place to post. I'm looking for a vibes player to add to a small jazz ensemble in northern Wisconsin. Probably from Stevens Point or north of there. I'm based in Vilas county but most gigs are from Wausau and north. Please contact me with any leads through my e-mail address pjsdrum@gmail.com . Thanks very much.
Guys,
Two Experts are in Manhattan this afternoon!
Joe Locke & Christos Rafalides are giving a percussion masterclass in the Manhattan School of Music.
All details here: http://www.msmnyc.edu/calendar/event.asp?eid=4151
If anyone of you attend, please give us a report, take pics, let us know!!!

I'm going to be in New York City from Sept 19 thru 23, tagging along with my wife who is traveling for work. I'd love to catch some live jazz while I'm there.
Any VW members gigging in NYC in that timeframe? Barring that, does anyone have any recommendations in terms of clubs that I might hit and catch a good set? Living in little Sheboygan, Wisconsin I don't often have the opportunity to hear live jazz music so I want to make the most of my time out in the real world.

Hey everybody,
I've not met a lot of you, but this may be a chance for those in/near Philly. My "Combo" from the US Naval Academy Band is playing Rose Tree Park (near Media PA) on Wednesday July 1st at 730pm. I hope some of you can make it. Please come up and say hello if you're there.
Thanks,
Blake Cramer
(ps. I play vibraphone.)
