I was inspired by Tony's "Donna Lee" and decided to give it a try. I kinda liked it until the last chorus, where it got a bit "fuzzy".

i really really love your lines. and what i love most is that there's nothing needed AND it feels like you're telling a story. and then your time is soooo great.
and then later on in the song you CAN play less and/or even get a little fuzzy as you've set up the harmony soooo amazing well monophonically.
this is really inspiring to ME. didn't you do a version of scrapple on here? i have to look for it.

Tarik, I just listened to this again and, although some of the lines are fast, they're basically quite diatonic, a bit different from the slower version. That's my take, at any rate. It's kind of difficult sometimes talking about musical intentions in a solo. Most of the time I find the solo more organic if there isn't one.
