Tension Resolution on Autumn Leaves

Had a little time today before a class at Berklee. Practicing some improvisation with the concept of Tension Resolution on Autumn Leaves. With this concept I'm focusing on using one tension and chord tones for each chord change and making to sure to resolve the tension to the nearest chord tone. It is a simple but effective improv technique that sounds the changes with a melodic flow. I'm playing 8 measures out front to establish the context of the song.

Hi guys this month instead of technical or harmonic skill I'd like to share with you an arrangment of the great tune Oblivion.
There's a lot learn (also for me) in term of hands independence and phrasing.

Play the melody louder than the comping!! And try to be expressive cause tango is a really passionate music!... make sure to listen to a couple of original version of the tune in order to get the right mood.

用到共同音(common tone)和最高音聲部(upper voice)去建造這個和聲配置(voicing)

打開PDF,在PDF 中,用到的是F調,我們取5音(C)當作是我們最高音聲部。

整首的和聲配置都會保持高音聲部在C,其他和聲配置的音,也都會照著這個規則去建造。

有一個地方例外,第六小節,B diminished,其實如果很想要照著規則走,也可以把第六小節改成Bb7,

但是有時候改變一點小地方,可以督促我們思考更多,你可以得到更多idea。

注意第4, 8小節,這兩個小節其實是同樣的和聲配置,原因是因為半全減音階同時會經過四個和弦(in the diminished cycle)

*半全減音階Dominant diminished scale 這個音階同時會經過四個和弦,也就是F7, Ab7b9 B7b7, D7#11b9 (他們之間差小三度).

所以你可以互換這些和弦,因為它們都建立在同一個音階。

雖然最高音聲部都保持在同一個音,但是你聽聽看,還是可以聽到很多變化,所以等到你可以自由的演奏最高音聲部時,
