I had a lesson online with John Daly last night. We talked about Stella and I told him I'd make a quick and dirty chord melody for him. Here it is.
If you guys find any mistakes let me know. Remember quick and dirty!
We're welcoming back the University of Delaware percussion department. So why don't you guys introduce yourselves. Tell us what year you're in and where you're from!
Alexandru Anastasiu is a buddy of mine (via the internet) and a great classical vibe player. I just got his cd and have been listening to bits of it via my crazy schedule! The CD is great and very different from what we're used to hearing on the vibes. Worth checking out. He's from Bucharest, Romania.
Check out the beginning of the vid. Is this there Oprah?
How about we build a list of Essential Blues heads. The must knows.
Billies Bounce
Bags Groove (of course)
Sonymoon for Two
Straight No Chaser

Marcel posted this exercise in a comment to barryk.
I thought I would turn it into the EOTM!
here's marcel's comment:

I often look into exercises of rudimental or technical snare drum books to aply to the notes and caracteristics of vibraphone in different ways. This last days I took one to practice combination of simple and double strokes and I think that works very well to practice C major (or any mode with the same notes!).
