TOTM - Summertime Resource

For the TOTM Tony mentioned that there was a bunch of Summertime stuff already on the site, so I figured it might be good to get it all together in one post. If anyone finds anything else, feel free to add it.

Summertime vibes performances:

Wave (with link to transcription) - Mark Carlsen (bass) & Ed Saindon (vibes)

I saw that Tony and Behn selected Summertime and Wave for TOTM. Both great songs. Here's a clip that I made in my studio with good friend and bassist Mark Carlsen. I love anything written by Carlos Jobim. There are so many great compositions that he has written. I'm using some different scales (including symmetrical diminished) on some of the changes here as well as some techniques using upper structure triads and triad pairs.

Vic Firth YT channel clip - Berklee Percussion Festival concert

Hey guys, this is a clip that was just featured on the Vic Firth YT channel. The footage is from a concert that took place in Boston this past July as part of the Berklee Percussion Festival. The channel will be adding more clips from the concert over the next few weeks. This clip features my composition "The Healing" (which can be downloaded from my website). The band includes: Matt Marvuglio on flute, Marco Pignataro on tenor, David Clark on bass and Ron Savage on drums.

Ornithology Rogh Practice Video with BIAB

since very very few people posted something on ornithology i decided to post this practice session from today. not very structured, few mistakes in the head but anyway...i post it.

i want to hear you guys on that tune please post what you have so far no matter what it is...

i think it´s not easy to play a good solo over it because i tend to fall into scales and licks i always use if it´s that fast...not easy to get rid of that :(
