Bottom line, if I was in a marching band or wanted a heavy solid setup that I could move/gig fully set up all the time, I'd get the 7055G. If I had to transport my vibe to fly or didn't have a lot of room in my vehicle, then I'd get the M48, since the rails fold. The M48 is not as solid and is prone to damper issues that have to be resolved from time to time.

7055G is a beafed up M55, M48 folds up for transport
