I read some posts about hauling your gear .... here's what I do for what it's worth .... roll the bars up in a cloth or towel .... put both rolled up bars in a cheap over-nite luggage bag with wheels .... put the pedal mechanism in there too. I had a bag made for the resonators and the pedal cross bar .... the bag has foam inserts that protect the resonators and brace from banging around in the bag ... and finally, fold up the frame. So the end result is three pieces ... bars in luggage bag, resonators/brace in bag, and the folded up frame. Yes it takes a little while to set up, but everything gets protected during transport. People always say that seems like a lot of work ... easier than drumset I would say .... regardless ... they pay me to carry and set up my gear ... I play for free.
Ya the music is free.
I put the resonators in a box and fold the legs up.
They go in the back of a Ford Ranger that's good on gas.
Looking for a hatchback or nice station wagon type car with great milage.
Who knows a good vehicle for this ?
