Hope you listened to the August show and heard Tony's album debut with the title track "Can't Find My Way Home." I plan to be at their Sept 20 gig in South Jersey and hoping maybe to get a piece into Jersey Jazz about it. What can I say but all good stuff!

I'm working on the Totm "Ornithology", and I want to play a bassline on all the tune.
I can easily do that on piano, and I struggle all the time trying to do it on vibes.
I can't take distance (intellectualy) with the instrument, and I can't think in advance.
It's so frustrating... so practice, practice again... but I don't see real improvments

Why ???
What do I need to do, that I'm clearly missing in my practical approach ?

Please can you share your experience/ exercices/ thoughts on this question.

hey,
last weekend a dream of mine came true. i had the chance to play the music of my favorite musician at the zappanale in front of many people who think the same as me. we had also the chance to meet some members of franks bands.
this was one of the greatest gigs i ever had...hope next time i will be on mallets not drums :)

The workshop in Spain is finished and I am so lucky and honored to participate, teach and play in such great event. The hospitality, the energy (teachers and students) and the food is amazing. It was an excellent time to spent there and I learned a lot also. These guys are doing a really great job. One of the best. I would love to see some of the students to the vibesworkshop.
