Oh man... he's got it!!! :o)
Ok, so I just checked my gig calendar and untill halfway through november I counted a total of 66 gigs!! Oh man this is crazy! But guess what, I'm playing vibes in almost al of those gigs!
I really feel bad not being on the site that much lately, but I'm just so f'n busy... Unfortunately it's not all standards/jazz stuff so I have to try to work on that when I get time in between....
Anyway, I'll keep you guys posted on stuff.
I don't think this has been posted before. Sadly there's way too little Vic Feldman video out there. He was a natural in every way. This is the Stan Levey group with Vic Felman on vibes playing "All the Things You Are." I think the arrangement of the head is very cool. It's too short, but any Vic Feldman video is good Vic Feldman video. Stan Levey was a unique drummer as well. Watching him play is like looking at a mirror image of most drummers.
Name a tune that you would like see on one of Gloria's future radio show. (Gloria has a monthly radio show where she does an all vibraphone show!!!
I'll pick the first one. My all time favorite. Gary Burton's - Chega De Saudade (No More Blues)

What's your tune?
Dear Angelo,
This is a "Who is". You are invited to tell us about your life. Whatever you like, how you feel like!
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Check out this very cool group of percussionists from Vancouver, BC, Kutapira. They are so young but playing very sophisticated and complex rhythms with ease. Beyond the technical, they are great fun to watch and listen to.
It's not professional audio/video but still worthwhile.
You'll be hearing them on Good Vibes radio soon.
Gloria
Guys,
So yesterday we started with Bruno the restoration of my vibes... oh man this is a great adventure! We don't know how long it will take, and how fine it will look, but we are doing it! (jeez, let it be short: I wanna play!!!!) :o(
I take a lot of pictures so far, but posting them on the site is too heavy and long work as I need to reduce them all, etc... But I guess many of you are on Face Book. So you can follow the whole process there:
Hi all!
I discovered that the way I am trying to play Work Song is a quite tricky mallet dampening etude to me when I try to let the chords ring for comping. Next time I'll use a metronome - promised.
any feed back welcome, cheers Stefan
