Delaware Workshop 2010 - Rehearsing Blue Boss For the Performance

What made this workshop special was to bring together people from all walks of the music world.

Vicky the first woman in this vid is a show percussionist from Wisconson, the other is a drummer in Las Vegas. The older of the two males (Tim) is a show drummer and Gilbran is starting college next week! This is cool!

I AM FRIED

What a week. That's all I have to say. To see people practicing from morning until night is amazing. And by that I mean from 8 in the morning until midnight. This was an intense workshop. I would imagine one of the most intense ever. I can say that without trying to brag, because I think Harvey Price really made this happen. The facilities here were incredible.

With each person having an instrument that enabled everybody to work non stop. My dream is to have the workshops, Harvey's was all the rest. Harvey is amazing.

Delaware Workshop 2010 - Day Three

These guys have been working hard! The school is open until midnight and I leave between 10 and 12 and I always see people in there practicing! We are ready for David Friedman to come in tomorrow!

Today I had violinist Diane Monroe come down. During the afternoon class we played different tempo and different style tunes and talked about playing with out a bass. We didn't perform the whole tunes, just parts of them. Saving the actual performance for the evening class.

Delaware Workshop 2010 - Joe Veltri Playing with Diane Monroe

Joe Veltri was totally brave when I asked who wanted to play duo with violinist Diane Monroe at the 2010 Univ. of Delaware workshop. He volunteered. I think he does a good job for a difficult task.

I pick it up in the middle of the tune. 'He's playing There Will Never Be another you'.

The idea was to give them a chance of playing in a duo that was baseless and see what that's like. This is after I played a couple tunes with Diane. We practice hard and I've worked hard at this combination of instruments and trying to make it sound as well as I can!
