I gave Patty Francechy and Mike Pinto a tour of our studios. We did a little greeting for you guys. This was after the vibe hang. We had so much fun today!!!
Wow!
Nadja just put on line this new video from JazzBaltica summer 2008.
Joe Locke and Sticks and String re-visiting Saturn's Child... with Rosario Giuliani as guest... Oh man!
I love the way that video was recorded, with close shots of Joe's grip (beginning) and of other musicians in there thoughtfull playings.
A huge solo from Rosario (3'48), who quite often plays with Joe, but whom we don't see enough on videos.
I also truly dug the vibes/guitar double voice speach, especially from 6'10... wow!
Oh... man...
Enjoy! :o)
Not Vibes Related but Music Related big time!
I love this video! I think Pat Methany is the Aaron Copeland of jazz.
Here are some etudes on the tune Cherokee.

Wow!
So a lot's been happening. Some behind the scenes, which is why I haven't been online as much as usual.
Here's the scoop:
First thanks to Joe Locke who talking with Nico Vanderplas and Bill Youhass agreed to send a 3.5 octave set of vibes down to vibes workshop. What a gift! You heard my old instrument. Well it might be great for practicing, but when I would get hate mail from Piper about the sound I knew something had to be done. I just wasn't sure what! Then Joe, Nico and Bill came to the rescue. Thanks so much!!!
