Alfonsina y el Mar - Solo Vibraphone - Ed Saindon

I downloaded this tune from Christos' lesson. I had never heard it before. I was sitting at the piano reading it down and was captivated by it. Such a beautiful song. I'm playing it here just trying to be true to the melody and adding some simple accompaniment/counterpoint. The tune plays itself. Thanks Christos! Ed

Recital by Carolyn Stallard

Last May I had to do a presentation for my job, so instead of a boring lecture I decided to have a recital and talk about my work in between pieces. It was a great success!

I finally uploaded the videos onto my computer, so I'll attach some of them here. Enjoy!

Some info:

1) An excerpt from Bettina Dreams of the Garden of Elves by David Friedman: David, I would love to hear your feedback on this one. I have my own constructive criticism but let me know what you think...

TOTM - Alone Together - Soloing Techniques

I think the new TOTM is a great selection. Alone Together is a very hip tune to play on. Thought I would post this from a past concert to perhaps generate some ideas and approaches to work on. This clip includes a few things like playing lines using four mallets, lines in octaves using four mallets, deadstrokes, right hand octaves with left hand four to the bar comping. As far as notes go, I'm using at times some pentatonics, motivic development, various chord scales, reharmonization. Sometimes if there's a II-7 V7, I'll just think V7. There is some over the bar line phrasing in the solo.

Solo break up in Blue in Green by Dimitrios Angelakis. I really need the opinions from the pros!!!!

Hey
This is Blue in Green. I break up this impro etude in two videos.
The first video show how I can break the chord into arpeggios and the second is how to brake the chord into the bass note and the others notes of the chord. This is not a lesson and I really would appreciate your opinion (especially from the pros).

Thanks a lot
Dimitris
