Tony’s Lesson 4
This album, The Arrival of Victor Feldman, is an album I wish I knew about sooner. This trio makes you forget that you are listening to a trio. They don’t have that awkward empty space or the same routine every time. The other unique thing is, it’s a trio but with four instruments. How brilliant is that. It adds so much to each song to have both the piano and vibes switching out. Another thing, Stan Levey, the drummer loves the triangle I’m guessing. I counted about three songs that DIDN’T have triangle. Keep your ears out for the triangle hits!

Dall-E 2 is an AI program that studies paintings and then creates new ones based on your search terms. I put in just the word Vibraphone and this is what I got. Check out the Mallet!
Here's a tune I arranged for 3 mallet players.

This album, Wanderlust by Mike Mainieri, has it all. Jazz funk, R&B type beat, laid-back styles, and some ballad like songs. Each song is something unique about it. Each song showcases a different instrument or style. I love when the songs in albums don’t sound all the same. Each song has something new to share and it gives a different kind of excitement to each one.
