Hi everybody who are going to come at Nico's in Sassenheim for the workshop.
Concerning my workshop I'm planning to do some work starting from classical music (JS Bach) and show some different approachs to practice this music on the vibraphone (transposition, chords, improvisation) than just only reading the part.
About this, and to be more efficient, would it be possible for you to check out a couple of pieces ?
I am thinking about :
- the "Courante" from the suite n°1 for cello in G,
- the "Sarabande" and/or the "Double" (just after) from the partita n°1 for violin in Bm,
- maybe also the first part of the "Allemande" from the suite n°3 for cello in C.
If you feel that you won't have enough time to do it well or if you find the pieces too difficult, don't worry, there is no need to play like for a concert.
But in that case you can already choose the "Courante" in G. And if you are able to memorise even a short part of one of these pieces (the beginning) more confortable it will be ok !
Maybe we'll do also some approach to improvise in a free contemporary langage (if this means something ...).
Tanks a lot and see you soon !

i like the idea but it would be good to have some notes of the pieces, since i don´t know any of them.
