Custom 3-1/2 Octave VanderPlas Vibraphone for Sale [Model LW 3.5]

Custom built by Nico VanderPlas, one of the most innovative vibraphone makers of the last decades. Nico was one of the first, if not the first vibe engineer to use a silicone gel-filled damper pad. He was also the first to use an innovative pedal system which moves the pedal moves straight down away from the bars, rather than angling away from the bars. This ensures that dampening of all bars happens at the same time.

This is pretty much a one-of-a-kind vibraphone.

This vibe is big and solid. It’s built like a brick … house. It comes apart differently than other vibraphones. The bars in the extended lower range [down to C below F] are beautiful, like church bells.
