Have any of you experimented with makeshift cases for any of your instruments? I have been trying to find a solution to moving my M75 to a new city. The Beiner Bags are expensive ($1000+) and take a little while to make/ship.

I had the idea to try using bicycle bags to move the larger pieces and ski cases for the rails. They are reasonably cheap and widely available on Amazon. Bars I always move with roller suitcases. Are there any other improvised bags that work well?

Hi - I am looking for any feedback on the Jerry Tachoir Mallets. I'm doing just basic follow up on his videos and techniques but before I spend over $40/pair on those mallets, just trying to get feedback.

Hey everyone!

At PASIC 2015, Stephon Harris and Clif Swiggert had a great session re: music theory and sort of demonstrating their new software called Harmony Cloud. I am looking forward to it, and yes I know it's not ready yet for release, but does anyone have Clif's email that I can send for more info once it becomes available?

BTW Stephon's and Tony's sessions were awesome, as was the concert on Friday evening!

Long time lurker, but one of my first posts here.

Here's the problem I could'nt solve with my Mallet Kat.

I use it as a MIDI keyboard in Cubase (with Kontakt, Sonic Couture sounds, etc.).

When I record my parts on a MIDI track, I can see in the MIDI editor that my notes are doubled (one covering the other but with a few ms shift) because the Mallet Kat has 2 built-in MIDI controllers.

So, I have to erase manually each one I don't need which is really boring.

Is there any way to "mute" one of the 2 controllers of the Mallet Kat to avoid this ?

I play vibes in a quartet with guitar, bass, and drums. I have two sets of Audix microphones. F10's and F15's. Was wondering which pair would be better for live performances. Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm a percussionist who is about to embark on the search for a new vehicle, and will hopefully be starting my search for a vibraphone soon, too. I gig occasionally, and will be doing more of it in the future, so since I'm looking for both things at once, I'm hoping to find 1. a vibraphone that is relatively easy to transport with one person, and 2. a car that will facilitate that. At the moment, I have my eye on a Musser M55, and it's been helpful to read everyone's comments on here.

Ok so I'm considering the MalletKat Pro.

So the MalletKat company (AlternateMode) has units such as the Yamaha Motif XS as the sound module.

My question is there any other option not sold or mentioned by AlternateMode, that malletheads are using besides the Motif? Sorry I would be a rookie to the malletkat. I would ask a question on the alternatemode forums but they seem old and full of spam.

Just got my first anti-cat device for the Ωmega, a nice Beiner cover to reduce the infestation of cat fur, also a small roll up bag on the end, real nice material and workmanship. Thank you Grant Beiner!
