1:21 I say top 2 voices, I mean top three
2: 15 I say Bbmaj 9. I mean Bb-9(man 7)
I say confirmation. I mean Blues for Alice.
I say Ab-7 where I mean Bb-7
Here's a play along I made for a student.
We are working on moving 2 5's through the keys. So the Progression is:
C | C | Gmin7 | C7 | Fmaj7 | Fmaj7 | Cmin7 | F7 | Bbmaj7 etc. get it?
i wrote out voicings and i played a solo where I just play the chord tones to make the solo.
So check it out.
I don't put the chords in, you have to write them him. the are chords WITH roots, so you should be able to figure them out.
Day 5 is similar to Day 4 with open position chords. Take notice of the final chord in this lesson. It's a Cm6 chord with the 11th in the top. This is a great voicing for minor chords. Be sure to memorize this one and put it through some different keys.
Put the chords in. Analyze the notes against the chords. Memorize it. Play it in at least C and Eb. try to do more keys! Work up the speed.
This way you're practicing a lot of things in the few bars that are here!

Hi Folks,
Here is an idea that I've been working on- some groupings of notes in the Melodic minor mode and ways of making melodies with them.
