I'm working with an online student on Stella. We meet a couple times a month and work on tunes, solos and more. We're putting Stella through all the keys and working up a solo. We're playing chord tone solos, and quarter note solos. Just beating the tune to death! I think it's fun and I think he does as well.

I'm posting this duet for him and thought I'd post it for everyone.

We've been working on playing things very simply. So it's a simple duet on the tune.

I hung with Victor Provost recently. We shot Pan lessons and played. Here's one of the tunes we jammed on.

I just posted a comment on another blog and mentioned that I studied Alexander Technique for a couple of years when I was in my late 30's. Then I thought it might be useful to some of the musicians here to know about this approach to improving posture and understanding physical movement. It is named after the man who developed it about a hundred years ago in Australia. He went on to teach and train people in his methods leaving behind a solid network of teachers around the world. It is quite popular with actors and singers, by the way.

Hi everybody ! Last week I posted a bass-dms track for Four, a bit too hastily. I took it back when I realized it was not good enough. My bass-player Laurent came down yesterday and we recorded a track for Solar. This one is usable. It's all on brushes, there a couple drums and bass choruses. Anyone working on Solar might want to use this. Cheers! Philippe
