about 2 month´s ago i saw a live concert of christina aguilera on tv. she really blew me away cause not like other pop diva´s she had a real band with complete horn section ON the stage and not hided anywhere in the back.the band was really killer like and they played soul and even some jazz elements in there, mostley from her back to basics cd.i got the cd later but it´s not as good as her live show...ok i am no teenie anymore but this woman really can sing incredible.

so I'm leaning back on it, not really sitting low.
This way, should I desire to stand and play, the instrument does not look strange to me.
Sitting also makes it easy to use the foot switches!

To my right is the Korg i40M, interactive module. Takes care of ALL my sound, and back up.

months back VW found everyone one studying gaints step. once again as i dig thru my library i found a a tune .. but really more a study of the Coltrane cycle. while studying in college a few students got together and was studied a half semester of bartok and half semester of stavisky. did my final paper on the Sonata for two pianos's and percussion. and later that semester found myself performing the tympani part.. whew a the same time i was in the jazz world heavily into early coltrane ...

as i look back at this tune. i see the tranes infuence...

This is from the album "Longing". If you don't have this CD you got to buy it. Joe doubles the sound of the vibes through midi on this track. It kills!

years ago i heard joe's version of Beautiful love on his piano duo Cd.. instantly found the lyrics to the song.. and there lines the Beauty in the melody as phrased by mr locke.

I've been talking with Randy Sutin about recording the vibes. Randy has hooked up with a great recording engineer here in the philly area. He's going to do an in depth look at different ways of recording the vibes. It looks like we're going to video it and he's going to really prepare something great.
