Hello malleteers (credit to Gary for that term which I thing is perfect), here's a clip of All The Things You Are with a quartet. I'm doing doing some minor reharm on the head behind the melody played by Lance. Making some of the minor chords Dom which makes the melody a #9 and altering the major chords to Maj 7 #5.
One of the pictures of the VW2012 Sassenheim vibehang.
Noticed on almost all of them shows St. John at Drums: weird he lightens up at every picture.

I am a sax player and want to start playing vibes; I'm having a hard time deciding what to buy. I'm fortunate in that a couple of thousand dollars either way doesn't make a huge difference to me if it means getting an instrument that sounds better to me and/or is easier to play. For whatever it's worth, I've always been a huge fan of Milt Jackson's sound. I have a fairly large music room at home; portability might become an issue in the future if I want to play with other musicians. I'm 6'2" so height adjustability might also be an issue.
I played a gig tonight where we played all Monk music. After the gig there was a jam session and some of the guys from the workshop came to the gig and sat. Here's a shot of the club and Dimitri getting ready to play a tune!
Tjaco is one of the guys who have been so supportive and helpful on the site. He just had a baby, so I got a feeling he will have less time for the site!!!!
Congratulations Tjaco!!!!!!
