This tune is very special to me and to many people. It’s a true symbol for vibists, and I know for you too. It has beautiful lyrics and great lines, but difficult to play/sing.

So when my buddy Bernard proposed to do it as duet for Music Day I thought: Oh wow! Now this is a great challenge! And what if we’d finally manage something "listenable"? How cool to post it for Tony!!

This is my contribution on this very special day for a truly great guy and friend who has over the past year and a half or so done so much for this site and its members,forgive the mistakes hope you get something from it, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY HAVE A GREAT DAY

Here is another thing I studied with tony when we started our lessons. It's Hank Mobley's solo on Remember. I actually made a bass part to play along with. If any of you guys are interested in the bass files, let me know and I'll post them. I even made these in all keys!

I make a few mistakes on the solo here, but you'll get the idea...

Here is my very first lesson I got from Tony. This is from november 2006. Back then we exchanged mp3's back and forth on a site tony set up. That was the old fashioned way we did it back then...haha

Anyway I thought I'd share this because I remember being VERY excited getting these mp3's. Here is this guy from Philly I just met on the internet and suddenly we are talking to each other. And the cool thing is that tony really talks and talks and get's a lot of his ideas across in this way.

I sent him a couple of files. Two versions of stella and recorded some scales.

As a gift, here is my current work on Bach Prelude in C Major, from the well tempered clavier.... Still a practice tape, but wanted to share it anyway.
