i came across this vibist on King St in Alexandria Virginia a few months ago.  He played while sitting  on an electric personal vehicle which he had fitted with a tow hitch mating with a tow ball at the base of the treble end of his vibraphone.  The vibes when towed rode on the two large wheels at the base end of the frame.  Here’s a video link of his playing

I’ve moved to Jacksonville Florida to be near family. Philly is far away.

At 76 years of age, moving my Omega out from my living room is not so easy anymore. But I enjoy playing it daily. I’ve been using the lick you posted 7/6/22 along with iReal to play a minor ‘blues’ through successive keys. There’s good jazz scene here in the city including a great Tuesday evening ‘open mike’ at the BlueJay Listening Room where young musicians, mostly from local colleges, can play along with a good house band. Very good exposure for them, and sometimes, some good improvisation.

Stay cool y’all. Roger

ahhh! I forget you moved! I think my brother is a cop in Jacksonville!

Amazing he hitches his vibes to his electric wheel chair! Some people really want to play the vibes!
