C為起音的第四級Melodic scale, (C Lydian dominant scale)
如果把C這個音當作是一個Melodic scale 的第四個音，那往下推（完全四度），可以得到G。
所以你可以把C Lydian dominant音階想成Ｇ melodic scale, 但是從C音開始打。
這個音階為，C,D,E,F#,G,A,Bb,C (跟大調音階相比，降七音，升四音)
這是一個很常被用到的音階。
這個音階的音，會經過C7 （C,E,G,Bb）和弦,
但是dominant 和弦最常用的mixolydian音階其實沒有完全符合，因為Lydian dominant 音階還有升四音。
所以C7#4才是正確的和弦記號。
看到C7#4 和弦時, 可以用C Lydian dominant音階。

From the Real Book, the chords are:

When I play it, it sounds like the 1st and 3rd chords are suspended versions of the subsequent chords. I play the Em7b5 as Bb D E A, then dampen the D (the sus 4 of the subsequent chord) and hit a C#, to turn it into the A7b9. Similarly, I play the Cm7 as Bb C Eb F, then dampen the Bb (the sus 4 of the subsequent chord) and hit an A, to turn it into an F7 (no root).

如果把C這個音當作是一個Melodic scale 的第三個音，那往下推（小三度），可以得到A。
所以你可以把C Lydian Augmented音階想成A melodic scale, 但是從C音開始打。
這個音階為，C,D,E,F#,G#,A,B,C
前五個音形成全音音階（Whole-tone scale）
這個音階的音，會經過C Augmented 5 chord (Cmajor7#5) 和弦。
所以看到C Augmented 5 chord (Cmajor7#5)和弦時, 可以用C Lydian Augmented音階。
練習方式：設定一個速度（Set a groove), 然後開始即興這個音階，並且12個調都要練習到。

聽起來很接近Dorian scale, 不一樣的是多了降二音。我們也可以把這個叫做Dorian b2 scale。
要練習這個比較陌生的Dorian b2 scale, 其實方法就跟你練其他比較常見的音階（Major...）一樣，試著把它打得好聽。
Dorian b2 scale跟Phrygian音階不一樣的是Dorian b2 scale沒有降6音。
怎麼練那些簡單的音階，就怎麼練這些比較少見複雜的音階。試著比較看看，看有什麼音相同，什麼不同。
另外，還有很多方式可以看這個音階，你可以想成大調音階降2降3降7，
或著C是Bb的二級，演奏Bb melodic minor scale, 但是起音還是保持在C。
不管怎麼想這個音階都行。好好研究並練習這個音階吧。

今天我們要介紹，旋律小音階Melodic minor。
看起來就是major大調音階，降3音。

還記得我們在講調式音階時說到，練習modes時，重點在七個調式要建立在同一個根音上。
所以C Ionian就是C大調音階，C Dorian就是C大調音階降3降7，同時也可以想成，C是二級，往下推大二度，
得到Bb，也可以看成是Bb大調音階。

在這邊的練習方是也是一樣。演奏C melodic minor scale, 然後換不同的調式音階，都還是保持大調降3音的規則（melodic minor），可以得到不同的Melodic minor scale。

The concept of lazy voicings can help you find NEW voicings. When you play lazy voicings you move voicings to the next chords closest notes. This can even help you get away from the root which is a voicing suprisingly you can usually omit, ESPECIALLY with a bass player.

Hey guys here is part 3 where I discuss one Upper structure triad option you can use for a V7 chord moving to a Minor i chord.
If you are in the key of C- the triad over the G7 would be Ebmaj. so a maj triad built off of the b6 scale degree.

Joe Locke showed me a cool scale that Olivier Messiaen used to write with. I found out later that it's a MOLT (Modes of Limited Transposition), which is pretty interesting. A major scale transposes into 7 variations and a diminished scale 2 (if I understand this correctly).

Part 3 of this lesson is not using time to help you outline harmony and create lines that are clear.
