C為起音的第七級Melodic scale, (C Altered scale)
如果把C這個音當作是一個Melodic scale 的第七個音，往下推（大七度），可以得到Db。
所以你可以把C Altered 音階想成Db melodic scale, 但是從C音開始打。
這個音階為，C,Db,Eb,E(Fb),Gb,Ab,Bb,C
這個音階的音，會經過Ｃ7#5, C7b5, C7#9, C7b9和弦。
i- V - I 中的V可以非常非常常見到這個音階，
把這個音階放到12個不同的調中練習，你會學習到很多。

This piece, a sarabande from Sonata IV in D minor, is a slow thoughtful piece and a good 4 mallet exercise. Use the 4 mallets for melody lines as well the block chords. For instance, in bar 6 you’ll find it handy to use 4 to play the wide intervals in the line. The same approach should be used in bar 23 where the melody line jumps around a lot.

如果把C這個音當作是一個Melodic scale 的第六個音，往下推（大六度），可以得到Eb。
所以你可以把C Locrian #2 音階想成Eb melodic scale, 但是從C音開始打。
這個音階為，C,D,Eb,F,Gb,Ab,Bb,C
這個音階的音，會經過C minor7b5 和弦。
所以看到C minor7b5和弦時, 可以用C Locrian #2音階。
放到和絃進行中：C minor7b5 - F7b9 - Bbminor7
但是因為Locrian with #2 scale 有還原D音（natural 2nd），所以聽起來像是要解決到Bb major scale。
但不一定要解決到Bbmajor音，也可以解決到原本常見的Bbminor。這個還原D音（natural 2nd）讓這個C minor7b5 - F7b9聽起來更有趣。

練習方式：設定一個速度（Set a groove), 然後開始即興這個音階，並且12個調都要練習到。

如果把C這個音當作是一個Melodic scale 的第五個音，那往下推（完全五度），可以得到F。
所以你可以把C mixolydian b6音階想成F melodic scale, 但是從C音開始打。
這個音階為，C,D,E,F,G,Ab,Bb,C (跟大調音階相比，降六音，降七音)
Tony是示範mixolydian b6和mixolydian 的差別。
Ab, G , E, C這是 tony最愛的Lick（樂句）之一，也有經過這個音階。
來聽聽tony影片最後把這個lick演奏在dominant 和絃上。

跟Lydian dominant scale比，這個音階有還原四音（Natural 4th）、降六音。

So my car stereo blew a few months ago. I bought another one a few months ago thinking it replace it myself. I tried but no sound. So I got my son an his Drexel buddies over figuring 30 grand a year, they can get it working. Nothing.

So finally I went to Best Buy and had them put it in only to find out that the problem was not the radio but the speakers. Ok, 400 dollars later (and I'm broke right now) I have a new car stereo and speakers.

Thought I'd post this for Tony, this is Jack and he is just getting started, you will notice he is reading and playing sections a piece of music,its not the black page but its a start. I particularly like the gentle stick drop at the end

since david posted the sheet of the black page by frank zappa i thought you will also enjoy this more simplified arrangement of the tune. it´s based on the "make a jazz noise" cd-version, which i like a lot.i played this tune way back for my classic examen (2001) i found also a poor recording i did with my friend on marimba and me on vibes. i would play it different today but who cares...
