I was inspired by Tony's rendition of "Joy Spring" so I decided to try a a couple of choruses, concentrating on keeping the time, experimenting with different voicings, rhythmic comping and ultimately trying to swing! VERY Challenging with any solo bebop version. The reason I faded the track out is simply because I didn't like what I played towards the end. :-) Not terribly mysterious (Ha ha!)

Hi Vibes lovers, today the lesson is for advanced players who wants to extend they harmonic palette using triads that touch extensions of the chord (7, 9, 11, 13) on their solo.
Make sure to check the attached file where there'a table that shows what triads can be played over any type of chord.

This is a homage to one of my all time favorite songs,"The Witchita Lineman", by Glen Campbell. I love the unexpected harmonic movement and the general mood of the composition.
I first just worked on playing the melody with a decent accompaniment. It took me forever! It's SO difficult to play correctly and maintain the mood and flow. Then after recording the melody a couple of times I decided to play a simple improvisation over the "vibe" of the song. Hope you like it.

Hi everyone at vibesworkshop.com! I'd like to announce the publishing of my new Trio 'Verwirrspiel' ('Confusion') for marimba,vibraphone and percussion (cajon+cymbals).

It's a piece, i've been working on quite a while. The sound of marimba and vibes combined with cajon an cymbals is very inspiring to me. In addition, I have always been interested in rhythmic 'knots' and their resolution, as you can clearly hear in this piece. ;-)

我們來試試，左手演奏四分音符（影片中Tony以C大調為例，左手演奏G C）
右手來演奏旋律，並專注在旋律上，目的是以思考旋律為基礎，來使用踏板止音，
演奏出乾淨的旋律線條。

你可以觀察看看，在做這個練習的時候，是不是自然而然的多以左手的和聲來思考，
運用踏板，如果是的話，先以慢速開始，大腦會慢慢知道我們的目的是要聽到乾淨的旋律線條，
多做幾次這個練習後，就可以自然而然的達到這個目的囉！

Gary Burton set the bar with his recording "Alone At Last" which was released in 1972. His rendition of this composition by Antonio Carlos Jobim was and still is unbelievable. I was very fortunate to study with Gary at Berklee while I was a student there from '72-'76. We spent quite a few lessons on this song. Gary talked about and showed various steps and techniques in approaching this song as a solo piece. This clip illustrates some steps, techniques and concepts as applied to Chega.
