Bachianas Brasileiras no. 5 for solo vibes by Ted Wolff

This is a really nice work for solo vibes. Originally written by Hector Villa-Lobos for voice and cellos, this is just one in a series of pieces that were an attempt freely to adapt a number of Baroque harmonic and contrapuntal procedures to Brazilian music.

The accompaniment is often just arpeggios, so let them ring. You'll need to mallet dampen the melody at several strategic places. The goal, as always, is to have the piece sound as full and clean as possible. Fullness comes from leaving the pedal down a lot, and cleanliness comes from pedaling and dampening in all the right places.

Brazilian Landscape by K. David Johnson

I've been a subscriber to Vibes Workshop for some time now and just wanted to tell Tony and everyone involved with the site how much I've enjoyed it! The video is a piece by Ney Rosauro (Brazilian composer) that I've been working on. For those of you that aren't familiar with Ney's music - I think he's a wonderful composer who captures the flavor and atmosphere of Brazil so well. Hope you enjoy.

Pinzin Kinzin by Holger Denckmann

Hello everyone! Here is something for the odd meter addicts! From my point of view the "Gently Disturbed" album by Avishai Cohen is one of the best JazzTrio albums from the past decade! I hope you liked what we made of it by adding the vibes. If you have the feeling that I am always playing the same - fast forward to 3:45 where I am soloing over those crazy meter changes...Have fun with the 9/16, 9/16, 9/16, 5/16 feel within a 4/4 meter!
I attached the score . for the "better" understanding : )
