How to play the chromatic scale with out getting your arms crossed.
“In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning” - one of my favorite ballads written in 1955 by David Mann with lyrics from Bob Hilliard. So many great versions of this song by vocalists and instrumentalists. Two of my favorites are from Frank Sinatra on his 1955 recording “In the Wee Small Hours” and from Keith Jarrett on his 1995 recording “Keith Jarrett at the Blue Note”.
Society Red run through. Just soprano and vibe.
A little Sunday morning practice on “You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To” by Cole Porter. After a few cups of coffee. Ha!Ha!
Hello vibe workshop members!
Here is a piece I just finished composing and will be performing it in early March. It is titled; "Glimpse" it's a duet for vibraphone and piano and although it's more of a chamber contemporary music feel – I subconsciously used a few jazz harmonies and doubletime licks! This piece is based on personal experiences in my life that I express through music. Mallet dampening as well as vibraphone pedaling is not present in the recording, FYI
No vibraphone, I'm afraid, but since we talk so much about jazz on the site, I thought I would share some of my guitar playing. I started out as a guitarist and no matter how much I improve as a vibraphone player, I don't think I'll ever reach the same level of comfort. I don't play much anymore, usually just when it gets too late to practice vibes.
this is my take on how I like to use my study career wise.
also, Giovanni is guest starring in this video!!
