I'm working with Tony on Friedman's dampening etude book- here's #10!
My student Pablo was asking about writing a piece with one not as the melody.
So I recommended he write down a bunch of chords with B (his note for the melody, trying to use chords with B as an upper partial as well as a third or fifth.
I figured I'd quickly try and bang out my own version. So here it is. gave myself a couple tries and about 10 minutes.

For me there was a whole study around comping on the vibes. Comping is just Accompaniment. No rules.
So how do you play alternate sticking and comp. Well I use mallet number 1. I tie it in with Mallet number to
I count the sticks left to right.

It's quick and dirty. so sorry about sharps where it would be flats etc. but you'll get the point.
