Check out this part of the forum. If any of you guys dig the school, It would be great for any recommendations you could spare. It's all part of spreading the word so we can get some dollars in here and do cool stuff!
So if any of you feel inclined that would be great.
I kept looking at the Joy Spring solo and thinking ok, I'll work this up again and post it so you guys can hear what it sounds like. But there's something about pulling out stuff that's old and spending the time to learn it again. I want to do new stuff. So I wussed out, however here's a midi, that will help you here some of the stuff! It's attached to the lesson, the lesson is above, so you can get to it right from here.
So I've added the feature that members can now blog. This might be a great way to keep in touch. Here's my challenge, that we all blog once a week if only a few sentences and talk about what we're working on and the challenges if any. Even questions about things.
--------------------------------------------
Here's mine:
For me as a player with 30 years now of playing experience, I'm always dealing with those 'long' term problems. I've transcribed so many solos, worked on so much stuff, that sometimes I can get depressed about it, especially when I think of what to work on.
A little experiment here. Subscribers can now blog. It might be a good way for us all to keep in touch. Why not start a blog and talk about what you're doing. Then some of the 'faculty' and respond.
There are 4 faculty members here. You've probably seen them all, myself, Tjaco, Patty and Behn. All good players with a lot to say. So maybe check in once a week and talk about what you're doing!
Hey Tony,
I tested something out. I recorded this directly to my laptop using Pinnacle studio. It's still the camera mic. Somehow I couldn't figure out how to get an external audiosource. But the sound is a little better because you don't hear the tape rolling anymore.
But Anyway, I think you can also do this so you can upload videos quickly.
Let me know what you think. I'll try to get the audio from my zoom in there and upload some more stuff.

So I had fun experimenting with a new camera angle. I hung a cam from above and played Blue Bossa. Hopefully you guys find it of use. Maybe it will give you some ideas. Let me know what you think.
The more I teach and the older I get I feel that it's all about being simple and getting your point across.
I talk and think about this all the time. You'll hear me bring it up over and over and over again. I never totally liked the analogy of comparing the vibes to a piano. When every I'm playing solo it hits me like a brick in the head.
Now there is plenty to learn from the piano, after all this is set up like a piano. So cool. Also many other vibe players compare this to a piano. However many of them did not grow up playing classical piano and classical guitar. I did and I can do an interesting comparison between the two.
I did some 'free' flowing vids the other night. More advanced stuff. I need to edit them now and get them up.
The real thing I'm thinking about is getting you guys to post some stuff. Subscribers that is. As the site grows this will happen naturally but I want to encourage some of that now! So I'm thinking of ways. Maybe I'll pick or post a duet and get a few of you guys to download my part, record your part and send it back to me! Then I can edit them together. Might be cool!
