I'm about ready to shoot myself! - Workshop madness and hopes

I've been working on the 2013 workshop for about three hours now. It sucks doing all the administrative stuff or something like this, I want to shoot myself.

But this year I think is going to be a milestone for the workshop, with some of the new things we are trying out. First of all I'm doing classes at the workshop and David Friedman is doing classes at the workshop. But we've added one class by Florian Poser which should be really cool because it's about performing with guitar and vibraphone. I recently video some lessons about playing with vibes and guitar and I am excited to see Florian take on this great duo.

In addition we will have a mallet ensemble rehearsal each night. This is a chance to practice your reading, so I'm glad we added this because I think lots of my players need to work on the reading. I know the musical range from easy to moderate so don't worry about your level. This should be something there for everybody to try out and to work on.

Besides all this we are going to be in a music school with a nice theater. Each night there will be a concert at the end of the night. This is a great addition to this workshop because it gets me closer to my goal of making the five workshop in the wintertime a whole week long and with concerts each night. Can you imagine if we could build this up to where we had five different concerts by five different vibe players performing each night and different classes each day, vendors, etc.

It's a long way off and putting on these workshops is so much, or rather too much work, but we'll see what the future holds.
