Hey everyone, just a fun little transposition thing on Stella to practice playing in weird keys. Basically going down a minor third each chorus, but I explained more on Tony's recent post. Practicing in minor 3rds is, IMO, a much better way to practice than going in 4ths or chromatically. It makes you uncomfortable and gets you out of habits.
Jack,
Talk about this and what is happening.
Hello all!
I’m taking a little break from the “how to play vibes like” lessons and am doing a couple beginner-oriented ones on ending tunes, although I think everyone can probably get something from them. This lesson is really for anyone who has ever been on a gig or at a jam session where at the end you all just kind of fizzled out in an unsatisfying, anticlimactic way, and wants a better alternative for the future. It’s also for anyone who just wants more creative options to end tunes.
Hi guys, in this video I'll show you how to create double stops based on D the half tone/ whole tone scale used for D7(b9)and other advanced double stops for upper structure triads (major triads plus the 9th):
C7= Dbm/Ab/Gb
CMaj7= C/G/D
Cm7= Cm/Gm
hope it helps
Hi guys, here's my 2 cents on bluesy double stops.
I analyse what note can you play as a double stop on top of traditional blues licks based on F7/Fm7.
