Hello everyone, here's a clip from a recent Berklee concert that took place during Percussion Week. Set list for the concert: Autumn Leaves, Body and Soul, Alone Together, All The Things You Are, Stella, Bluesette and O Grande Amor. Some of the tunes are up on my YT page. We'll be adding Bluesette and O Grande Amor soon.
I hope you guys are having a great summer. It always goes by way too fast for me.
Best, Ed
Hi,
this is another little clip I recorded today.
Sorry for the fuzziness here and there but I am still not that familiar with the handling of my new cam...
Have fun with it!

Hope you enjoy it.
This video was recorded in Dec. 2013 on the legendary »Fröhliche VibeNacht« we did in the church of Haukes hometown Zetel (Lower Saxony/Germany). Each one of us starts with a solo version of a tune followed by an accompanied improvisation.
We hope you enjoy it!
(and sorry for the music stands...)

Check out Christos Rafalides solo on Harmony Ensemble of NY performing Henry's Mancini's "Soft Sound" from "Peter Gunn"! It's very hard to say anything in just one minute of solo!!!!
thanks

This is one of Joe Henderson's most popular tunes. During the first 8 bars try keeping the pedal down to sustain the long A- and C- chords. Use mallet dampening to keep the busy melody part as clean and distinct as possible.
Excerpt of vibraphone and improvisation clinic in Milan, May 16th, 2014. This segment addresses solo playing on Body and Soul along with voicings and harmonic practices including symmetrical diminished scale lines and voicings. Other segments from the clinic are up on YT and address the fulcrum grip and dampening techniques, voicing and reharmonization on Autumn Leaves, stride solo playing on Ain't Misbehavin' and solo playing utilizing dampening on Black Orpheus. All clips are posted on my YouTube page listed in the Clinics/Educational Clips section.
