The first two examples are straight forward. the third examples is a little more complicated (diatonic fourths?). i believe as the fourths all have to fit the Key? different fourths solve this problem, so what's the interval pattern here? That's the next post., more to come...

III - 4-5-4 Aug Fourth in middle - tritone
IV - 4-4-4
V - 4-4-4
VI - 5-4-4 Aug IV on the bottom - tritone

I've check the EIS site, pretty complex, but the sample pdf looks interesting (but still complex)

Hey Pax,
the way I see "opening the harmony" is like doing parallels in mathematic,or cicrcles.
from a center point, it's all relative.
from that center point you can stretch, but the movements have to be clear.
music from concepts...but still music !
I can't help thinking about Berg's music as the best example
