M48 - Going to IOWA: flight cases - anyone know sizes/weights?

Hi Everyone-

Haven't been by for awhile, and sorry to stick my head back in to fish for technical info, but I'm needing to know:

Anybody got dimensions on the flight cases for the M48? I own a set, but they're in storage, and someone I play with is asking me to find out what it would cost them to fly them to a gig next year. (2011!) It'd be handy to know both how big they are and how heavy they are when they're full. Can't seem to find it anywhere on Musser's site.

Thanks so much for any help anyone can offer. And btw- congrats to Patty - I was so thrilled to realize it was her playing marimba when I took in the Hollenbeck festival at Le Poisson Rouge last month. Terrific stuff, and I wanted to tell you after, but you were hard to find!

i don't know the dimensions. maybe piper would know? but i would rent them.

hey man there are a 1000 vibe players here, maybe someone lives nearby???

email me and i can look for you also. see if any cats live nearby.

also, you could ask burton, he takes his vibes with him everywhere i think. he'll know the price. i bet it's about 500 bucks each way.

Thanks Tony. I'm going to be in Moline/Rockport./Davenport, Iowa, and the thing is, I'd need them for a full week of performances and workshops, and there's apparently not a rental place out there that can do it. We would be traveling January 22nd or 23rd - 30th, 2011. I'd rather rent then deal with the hassle, but apparently the people we're playing for want to get the budget airtight like, yesterday, so they don't want to wait for me to come up with a better solution.

Ordinarily I'd be happy to help out. You'll only be 60 miles east of Iowa City where I live, but it turns out that I'll be out of town during the time you'll be here. Sorry.
