1974 Musser ProVibe with silver bars for sale in good condition for $4,000. The ProVibe has been one of the most popular vibraphones for decades, and used ones don't show up very often. This instrument was renovated a number of years ago by the late Gilberto Serna of Century Mallet Instruments in Chicago, who was considered to be the master vibraphone craftsman (I got his name and number from Gary Burton). I had Gilberto paint over the Musser logo because I don't like logos on any of my stuff (I'm a minimalist).
This instrument has only one case (for the bars). I've been gigging with it since 1974, wrapped in thick cotton blankets. There are some small dings, dents and scuff marks on the resonators, but it sounds great and the adjustable-speed motor works well.
I prefer not to deal with crating and, which would be very expensive for the buyer. It can be viewed and picked up in upstate New York, about 2 hours north of NYC, just off the NY Thruway.
