Tune Primer by Tony Miceli

Just a rehash of stuff I've talked about. I wanted to make sure it was in one place. It's just about studying tunes and making sure you have the basics down.

Remember, Memorize it. Learn the words, sing with Billie and Ella and Sara, whoever. The words will help if you're stuck. Get into the tune and have fun learning it.

After the workshops

It took me a couple of days to get all impressions of last weekend into place.
Tho it may not look so, such a weekend is asking a lot from Paul and me here at the factory.

Preparing starts already on the Monday before:
- we needed to get the instruments ready (7 in total, only 4 used however)
- prepare/cleaning up our demo room
- prepare our cantine
- prepare/cleanin up the workshop
- organize the food and beaverage

Once the workshops started, for me the work calmed down a bit, so I could relax some.

Andy Laverne - How Deep Is The Ocean Lesson

I was checking out all kinds of versions of 'How Deep Is The Ocean' on youtube and came across this lesson by Andy Laverne. I thought this was pretty cool.

I especially found the screen of his face above the keyboard funny to see and the way he analyses the tune after with only the piano playing is pretty cool.

Oh yeah, and check the ending. He explains what Bill Evans did on the end.
