Mainly to show how if you do a couple things, Ireal gets much hipper!!!!

One is to fix up the lead sheet. I'll take about some general rules you can use and we'll do a before and after on a couple lead sheets.

Tony Miceli is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

In the linked video, I noticed the very different sound development due to the different playing styles of Oliver and Tony.

Oliver uses the dampimg significantly less than Tony. The damper bar also seems to press harder against the bars. His tone is therefore extremely percussive, but also dry and with almost no sonority.

In contrast, Tony gives the tones more opportunity to develop sonority by adjusting the damper pedal almost constantly while playing.

I think Simon is someone to watch.An incredible player with his own sound.He has a new album out "Spirit Song";highly recommended!

I had never heard of this cat until today when I was looking for Ed Blackwell videos. He's really cool and has worked with quite an impressive list of players.

"A Treasured Moment" - an original that I recorded with strings first and then with vibraphone played over the strings track. I'm a huge fan of the great film composers like Ennio Morricone, John Williams, Michel Legrand, Henry Mancini, Hans Zimmer and many others. I love how the film music enhances the mood and feelings in the films. I wrote this composition with that in mind and as the inspiration.

I've been dreaming of a graduated bar Mallet Kat closely matching the playing surface of a vibraphone.
*** So you can use the same ingrained mallet spread or spacing for both instruments !
A Mallet Kat is essentially an electronic mallet instrument that plays any sound you want.
All the pads are the same size.
You plug it into any amp or sound system. We may add a built in, for practice, speaker.
