I had some time so I decided to make a couple of audio lessons on triads, which have been the focus of my practicing lately! After years of practicing seventh chords, 9th chords, 11th chords, and 13th chords, I've come to appreciate what triads can do.

these recordings are from me playing in Taipei, Taiwan with my quartet. It was my first time organizing a whole set of jazz performance(I'm currently a college student major in classical percussion), so I wanna share with you all. Serious work of a serbian vibist (drummer and composer too) and his band. The gain is a little bit low, but i think it's worth to add more volume and enjoy his music.

# Etude 7 - David Friedman - Dampening and Pedaling

Hola a todos, les dejo mi humilde versión de este hermoso estudio del gran David.
Nuevamente continuo con la idea de profudizar en el uso de apagadores como el hand Dampening y el Pivot Dampening, entre otros. La razón de la utilización de estas técnicas es primero y principal para continuar el desarrollo de las mismas y dominarlas cada vez con mas naturalidad.
Por otro lado, creo que estos apagadores permiten que no se "cruzen" tanto las manos y podamos estar siempre mejor ubicados, y con mayor control del instrumento.

It's interesting to see how they played this. The most interesting thing is they used a synth bass. That was smart. Sounds better than if the bass was played on the marimba.

I love this version and love their playing.
