I have enjoyed using both your wide bar and supervibe mallets. How do you decide what color a mallet will be? Do you ever do custom colors?

I've always known that Mike was the main man when it came to mallet creation, in his work combining a scientist's exactitude and an artist's love. What I didn't know is
that he is a musician with vast experience, having played with and known some of the greats. I spoke with him by phone the other day and I not only heard some great stories,
but also received some of Mike's wisdom about playing and teaching. I could have stayed on the phone with him for hours - a fascinating, fun and soulful guy

he's been here since the dawn in a way. right? what 30 years maybe? his factory is incredible. if anyone is near there you should call him, if he has time he might give you a tour.

he's such a nice guy. i get a lot of wisdom from talking to him also. and i get a lot of funny jokes because he knows them all!

and yep he's been in the pit with the heavies.
