Forum Topic: Value of customized M-55

I own an old Musser Pro Vibe that has been customized and I would like to get an estimate as to it's value.

The frame is roughly from around the early seventies, and has gold trim and gold resonators. The original cross bar and pedal are gone and have been replaced with a Vanderplas cross bar, supports and wide pedal. The Vanderplas retrofit works really well, as the instrument is very solid. This was done by the original owner ( who is deceased), I'm guessing around early 2000's.

Forum Topic: Appraisal Estimate Needed for 1950's M75

Hi -

Brand new to the site, and hopefully a first-time vibe owner soon. I'm considering purchase of a 1954-56 M75 in pretty nice shape. This will be my first vibe (first large keyboard perc. instrument), and the start of my journey to learn jazz improv. I hold a percussion degree, but have had a dream of becoming a jazz vibist for a very long time. My mallet teacher is now retired, has sold her 4 marimbas, and is offering me the vibe. But she didn't set a price, rather asking me to come up with an offer.

Forum Topic: Vintage Jenco Travel Vibraphone 1940's

I have a late 1940's Jenco Vibraphone that I am trying to sell. It has the thinner graduated bars and is light weight and great for traveling. It has the original motor still with it and is fully functioning. It is in great shape considering it is from the 1940's. I am looking to sell it for $1100. I am located in Nashville, TN. Please contact me if you are interested at thisonetimeidied@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Forum Topic: Deagan Traveller Vibraharp $900 SOLD!

INSTRUMENT HAS BEEN SOLD.

Hello fellow vibists,

I'm selling a rare and vintage Deagan Traveller Vibraphone from the 1960's. Asking $900.

It has non-graduated bars and is slightly smaller than a full-size model, making it perfect for touring and studio work.

I toured with this instrument for a few years so it has some wear and tear including some scratches on the bars and a few dings on the resonators.

The motor was broken when I bought it and I never found the time to repair it, although I'm sure it would be inexpensive to fix.

Forum Topic: Deagan Xylorimba

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this question.

I'm considering selling my Deagan Xylorimba, but I'm not sure what it's worth. Ebay prices vary drastically. It's a model 730 with a folding parallelogram stand and factory case. The keys are in good shape, and the resonators are clean with no dents. The post isolators need replacement, and the stand needs new rubber feet. I'm hoping to sell it locally on Craigslist, as it's fairly heavy when packed in its case.

Is anyone here familiar with these or able to point me in the right direction?
