No Vibes, but I have never heard anything like this before...
They are the Dodo's and they have vibes in their band.
And btw the Stevens grip will be the grip of the future.
We can all rest now. It's over. It will stop hurting soon and we will be able to hold our heads up high and proclaim 'I PLAY THE VIBRAPHONE'.
The Dodo'd sound really good. Our time has come people. Rejoice.
Now for those of you who don't know what we're talking about read the post under 'CHECK THIS OUT'.

Now on the serious side, I kind of dig them. I really like this song and I dig their vibe! And they actually saved up for the vibes! That's pretty cool!
Somebody shot some vid of a gig I did recently.
THE SOUND SUCKS. I'll post anyway!
What kind of music do you think they're playing? Where are they? Any Ideas
Here is a version of Stella I found in my itunes. NO, it's not me playing, it's Tony ofcourse!
Man another amazing version. I don't think this is on the site here yet, and I hope you don't mind me posting this, Tony?
I think it's great!
Now everyone, transcribe this and play it in 12 keys....haha

Marie -> this one is also from the time Tony and I went to the year 2935!
Here is another video of Manhattan Vibes. I really love this intro he plays on All the Things. Well it's actually a really quick solo version of he whole tune in 7/8.
The rest of the video is more of a compilation of different parts of their concert.
The intro is also on their cd, so check it out. This has been on my transcribe list for a while... maybe I should get to it!

All this talk about Christos Rafalides made me check some stuff on Youtube.
In this video I think Christos really proves the fact that you can se the vibes as the only chordal instrument in a band. He sounds amazing, don't you think?
check him out at 1.36... that always happens to me... stupid glasses...haha

After Joe's story about Mimis Plessas I went to check youtube, and here is a concert I did with a singer in Athens in 2007. Check out Mr. Plessas in the beginning!
We also did a tune with Christos there, I'll see if I can find it.
