Joe Locke - Ain't No Sunshine Transcribed
Wow! Someone I think put some time into this.
It's a great bluesy solo that looks messy on paper! Great job writing all that down. I don't know if I would even know how to write it all down!

Move Stuff Around - At Least in fourths
Moving scales, arpeggios, licks, little pieces of a tune is a great exercise for your brain and your musical 'overview' of things. In other words just get used to seeing things in different places. This doesn't matter what level you are at.
If you don't know what to do, then use 4ths. Move a little something every time you practice in a few different keys. A lick, a nursery rhyme, a jingle, a holiday song. Just do it. It will pay off later. Spend about 10 minutes in it.

I Loves You Porgy (new mallet design)
A classic and lovely ballad by George Gershwin
This is the second video featuring my new leather headed mallets, completely unlike the rattan/ball/yarn designs of the day. Still getting used to the touch and feel of them, but encouraged by the possibilities.

Stella by Starlight
H1CH on Stella.
Really trying to focus in on playing the changes. How did I do?
Each week I've been learning/re-learning tunes to make sure I really know them. Trying to really understand the chord scales in tunes and extensions I can use in chords.
I really enjoy making these "covers" as well. As frustrating as it can get, this is something I've always wanted to learn how to do. Any tips on recording techniques etc. are really appreciated as well!
Thanks for listening!
